The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) aims to provide a high level of environmental protection by integrating the environmental dimension even from the phase of project preparation.
The EIA process is now acknowledged as a vital tool for sustainable development. Under this statutory process, OikoM has undertaken the preparation of a substantial number of Environmental Impact Studies for a wide range of projects in the public and private sector (see renewable energy, water projects, road works, harbor works, etc.) in protected areas or not. Some of these projects were related to large investment projects in the country for which OikoM undertook the assessment of their feasibility, their redesigning (where necessary), their support on the licensing authority and their final authorization.
