{"id":56691,"date":"2023-07-11T10:44:12","date_gmt":"2023-07-11T07:44:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oikom.gr\/design-and-development-of-a-digital-repository-for-psiloritis-geopark\/"},"modified":"2023-07-13T17:27:24","modified_gmt":"2023-07-13T14:27:24","slug":"design-and-development-of-a-digital-repository-for-psiloritis-geopark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oikom.gr\/en\/design-and-development-of-a-digital-repository-for-psiloritis-geopark\/","title":{"rendered":"Design and Development of a Digital Repository for Psiloritis Geopark"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column]<div class=\"standard-arrow list-divider bullet-top\"><p>The\u00a0<strong>Digital Repository<\/strong>\u00a0which was created for the\u00a0<strong>Psiloritis Geopark<\/strong>\u00a0will be a digital platform for the\u00a0<strong>collection<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>organization<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>documentation\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>digital rescue of data and documents<\/strong>\u00a0related to the Geopark.<\/p>\n<p>You can\u00a0<strong>access\u00a0<\/strong>the Digital Repository by following the link below:<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/psiloritisgeopark-repository.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/psiloritisgeopark-repository.gr\/<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The goal was the\u00a0<strong>recording<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>digital rendering of useful data and information<\/strong>\u00a0related to the natural (biotic and abiotic) and anthropogenic environment of the region. The purpose was to collect, document and organize appropriately existing scientific and archival material that constitute documentation for the region, which can be\u00a0<strong>easily shared with interested users<\/strong>, and can be used to support the new\u00a0<strong>tourism product<\/strong>\u00a0that is being created at the regional level and related to the UNESCO brand (Folk art, local products).<\/p>\n<p>The project includes three (3) parts:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Developent and construction of a digital platform for document posting (Repository)<\/li>\n<li>Organization of workshops to inform potential stakeholders and to collect content<\/li>\n<li>Collection, digitization and posting of documents<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The implementation of the project was undertaken by the association of companies: &#8220;OikoM Ltd. &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/madeconsultants.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MADE \u0399\u039a\u0395<\/a>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Psiloritis Geopark<\/strong>\u00a0was founded in 2001 by the company AKOMM \u2013 Psiloritis Development Agency of Local Government with the scientific support of the Natural History Museum of the University of Crete. Due to its rich geodiversity, landscape and its undeniable history and tradition, the Psiloritis Geopark has been included, since its foundation, in European Geoparks Network and in the Global Network of National Geoparks of UNESCO.<\/p>\n<p>Learn more about the Psiloritis Geopark:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.psiloritisgeopark.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.psiloritisgeopark.gr\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.psiloritisgeopark.gr\/en\/fysiko-parko-psiloriti-pagkosmio-gewparko-unesco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-56234\" src=\"https:\/\/oikom.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/fisiko_parko_psiloriti-300x260.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"142\" height=\"123\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oikom.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/fisiko_parko_psiloriti-300x260.png 300w, https:\/\/oikom.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/fisiko_parko_psiloriti.png 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 142px) 100vw, 142px\" \/><\/a>Workshops<br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Within the framework of the project, on the\u00a0<strong>four-day period 03-06\/10\/22<\/strong>, OikoM Ltd and MADE Consultants PC successfully organized\u00a0<strong>four content gathering, coding and documentation workshops<\/strong>.
