The primary objective of CASTOR is to enhance the conservation status and ensure the long-term survival of two highly threatened endemic freshwater fish species, Pelasgus laconicus and Squalius keadicus, within the Evrotas River Basin.

Scientific Partner: Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) – Institute of Marine Biological Resources and Inland Waters (IMBRIW)

Location: Evrotas river basin, Greece (mainly close to villages Kastori, Trypi & Magoula)
