Environmental Management

OikoM Ltd.has extensive experience in conducting Special Environmental Studies, Management Plans, and Studies and Programs for recording, monitoring, and evaluating the conservation status of habitat types and flora and fauna species.

The recognition of biotic and abiotic characteristics of an area, the determination of conservation priorities, the identification of potential conflicts between environmental protection and development, the formulation of boundary proposals and protection conditions, as well as the definition of management options and priorities, are the areas of our expertise.

Studies for recording, monitoring, and evaluating the conservation status of habitat types and flora and fauna species are closely linked to the management of protected areas.

With significant experience in organizing, coordinating, and conducting fieldwork, and with specialized collaborators covering all areas of environmental monitoring, OikoM Ltd. was one of the first companies in the study field to provide these specific services.

Significant projects in this field include Special Environmental Studies and Management Plans for Natura 2000 Network areas, national supervision programs for habitat types, recording, monitoring, and evaluation programs of the conservation status of habitat types and flora and fauna species in numerous Natura 2000 Network areas.
