On March 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic was testing countries all over the planet, and the majority of citizens were staying home abiding by the protective measures against the disease, an idea was born:
To promote the Nature of Greece, through the Protected Areas of the country.
Ecotourism in the protected areas of our country is of great value, and digital tools have never been more relevant for the promotion of environmental travel experiences. With this in mind, OikoM Ltd. took the initiative for the development of the Explore Natura Greece website.
The goal of this digital tour is to promote the infrastructure and services offered in the protected areas and to encourage different groups of visitors to gain new travel experiences in nature.
The supervision of the website material was carried out with the valuable support of the Management Bodies of the Protected Areas, while OikoM Ltd. undertook the collection and processing of the material as well as the organization of the project as a whole.
The website is also promoted through Digital Solidarity, a digital platform designed by the government calling companies and institutions to provide free digital tools to the wider public.
